ABEC grant writing workshops on January 16 and/or 19

January 19 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Alaska Blue Economy Center (ABEC) has partnered with the Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) and the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Commercialization (Center ICE) to offer $125,000 to support up to 20 technical assistance awards to applicants interested in soliciting federal and foundation funding that directly benefits our coastal communities, particularly in the areas of mariculture, energy, and innovation within those sectors. In order to offer this “Grant Technical Assistance Program” (GTAP) in Alaska, ABEC has retained the services of Grant Management Associates (GMA). GMA has recently surpassed $1 billion in awards for their clients and has an over 90% success rate with the grant applications they prepare. You can learn more about GMA on their website.

ABEC and GMA will be hosting two identical workshops to initiate GTAP, with additional details provided on ABEC’s website. The first workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 16 from 9 AM until noon (Alaska time), with a second workshop taking place on Friday, January 19 from 1 until 4 PM (Alaska). At least one member of each applying team must participate in one of these identical workshops in order to qualify for GTAP support. Workshop recordings will be made available following each session.

Attendees are encouraged to register (January 16 here, January 19 here) in advance of their preferred workshop offering, as doing so will give registrants early access to GMA’s highly successful grant management resources. Questions should be directed to workshop planners via the following form. Answers to anticipated questions may be found in the following document.
